Welcome to the online show committed to exploring the world beyond talking points.
Those of us here at Exploring Minds believe that civil discourse and constant exploration is vital to the healthy growth of any community or society. These days, it’s become more and more difficult to simply ask questions about the world around us, so we’re seeking to change that.
This show, hosted by Michele Carroll, has a one-on-one long-form, conversational style, allowing our guests time and space to express their true perspectives. From technology, to politics, to culture and so much more, we aren't afraid to ask questions and learn. This isn't about being right or wrong, it's about collecting and understanding perspective.
We would be absolutely thrilled if you joined along. We want to hear from you! Topics, guest suggestions, and your general thoughts on the show are welcome. Please consider joining our Discord channel discord.gg/YhaAcN3. Welcome to the community!

David pakman I've been following for about 5 years and I think your the best. No sabia que eras Latino pero ahora me siento orgulloso de tenerr a alguien que entiede de politica en USA y que sabe como callar a los politicos racistas.
The point with MMT is private banks create money when they make a loan. So governments can create money.
You're just lumping the public sector bad, private sector good narrative which has nothing to do with what MMT is about. How the gov't decides what policy to pursue given the fiscal and monetary space available to it falls on the domain of politics. MMT doesn't call for the stifling of innovations from private entities.
Why say gov't is not good at allocating productive investment when most of tech innovations today like the internet. GPS system, or the cellphone were the result of gov't initiated research from DARPA. Will the gov't initiated investment in environmentally sustainable power generation be considered unproductive too?
If you're a prostitute and have a pimp then you're stupid. People choose that life.
ATCQ Sucka Ninja
Modern monetary theory only focuses on circulating capital and ignores fixed and human capital to try and explain the economy and so it totally undercuts how wealth is actually created. It only focuses on how wealth circulates and not how it’s created by individuals and how a collection of individuals create real world value.
I love this guy’s podcast!! He needs to make more!!!!
niggardly sounds too much like the real word so why would you even use it thats not a stard word in the english language
Its crazy how blacks tear down their own communities. I just don’t understand
Regardless of race, history or politics, if you remove the notion of context from language, then language doesn't work.
Just to clarify - Australia does NOT have liberal gun laws like the US; NO country has. Our last mass shooting was 28 years ago.
Why anyone would feel the need to hush a factual documentary of any kind, tells me they're in denial of the truth. If you don't like a documentary, switch off.
On behalf of logical, sensible Australians, I apologise for The Project's biased, edited interview of you. This particular segment has been repeatedly criticised for its exceedingly, poor journalism.
The government told women on welfare they couldn't have a man in the house, sooooo And welfare had nothing to do with it...smh
And now we know that the Michael Brown incident was justified. Michael Brown didn't put his hands up, that was a lie and is still thought to be true by the left to this day.
Negus: Ethiopian word for king The people were convinced that the Negus was crazy. 😂
You’re to young
You’re a sale out you don’t know what you’re talking about
Twice as many white people get shot by police than black people. Twice as many whites in prison than blacks. Twice as many poor white people than blacks. The numbers more closely match up with poverty than racial disparity. The reason our media doesnt push the facts is that racism is a better headline. Media companies profit from ratings. Eisenhower said beware of the military industrial complex. Unfortunately he never warned us about the media industrial complex.
It's hits me as very strange that Candice gets kicked out and now this guy pops up. And he is sounding like Candice. Keep your eye on him. There's something that just not right with him
so how did italian and irish have their own neighborhoods young man?
Multiculturalism is a myth
😳 This dude is dangerously ignorant.
This conversation still holds up. We miss your interviews, Michele!
This is such a hidden gem 💎 this is true wisdom.
And yet Coleman you used the word exactly zero times in this interview. I call BS on defending the netflix dude. He did not have to say the word.
🎉
Well we'll well...good to know
If you ever see Cassie's early interviews with aggressive feminists it's clear she definitely was a feminist. Now Cassie takes the same arguments as MRA's but daren't be seen as an activist because she's afraid of feminist aggression being used on her, which it certainly has been. Ironic isn't it? Cassie spent only a short amount of time with MRA's to see a very different reality to the one she assumed existed but never witnessed. Feminism is authoritarian and is very much aligned with right wing authoritarian state obsessed governments who have empowered feminism in all our institutions without the political mandate to do so. Society as a whole and feminists themselves may see feminism as historically left wing but it is actually authoritarian right wing governments that have furthered feminism in the legal system, the education system and in politics. Why? Their objectives are the same. To neuter society and to use women seduced by feminism and the weaponisation of the law to do it. Believe me, Donald Trump will not change a damn thing and his like never will. Indeed, there's a strong argument that Trump would not exist as a politician without feminism. Without aggressive feminism, he or someone like him simply wouldn't be that attractive to the electorate and therein lies the rub.
Yawn.... Perhaps a bit of scholarship by reading Michelle Alexander ("The New Jim Crow") & the Hannah Nikole Jones ("1619 Project").... then soak up the sociological/psychological realities of the "hood" & this guys soft soap, make white folks comfortable, milguetoast BS is shown false & tortured!! Miss me with the nonsense!! #KissThisWestIndianBlackMansA$$
